About Global Action
Global Action (GA)
is a subdivision of World Youth Value Society (WYVS). The emphasis of
Global Action is to raise awareness for a cause (issue) where it is most
needed in the world.
People and communities across the world have diverse needs in food,
water, sanitation, education, healthcare, and much more. GA
engages all WYVS members to work together to make a positive difference
in the world by helping people and communities in need.
We may not be able to perfect the
world, but every effort we put forth counts, and we can make the
world a better place.
For individuals, clubs, and others, GA project
is a fantastic and transforming experience.
How GA works
1. Investigate global causes
- Members around the world search and report global causes to WYVS
headquarter.
2. Decide next GA - Members vote to decide the next
year's GA area and pledge to accept
the action.
3. Take action - Members/clubs focus throughout
the year on the current GA.
4. Report the impact - Regional leaders
report their impact to WYVS headquarter.
5. Global Action - All funds and
contributions will go directly to the area where the GA is taking place.
